The Urban Superhero character DangerMan was created in 1998 by Roger I. Tinsley, an actor, comedian, former security expert, bodyguard, entrepreneur, and community activist. Born and raised in the city of Detroit, Tinsley owned and operated one of the largest security firms in Denver. For over fifteen years, Tinsley provided security for many celebrities, including the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Actress Rita Moreno, Entrepreneur & Athlete Earvin “Magic” Johnson, actor & dancer Ben Vereen, Planned Parenthood President Faye Wattleton, Denver Mayor Wellington E. Webb, Ms. Corretta Scott King, superstar singer & actress Janet Jackson, singer Al Jarreau, and three-time Heavyweight World Champion Muhammad Ali, just to name a few. With a reputation for being a real professional with a lot of savvy, Tinsley’s references read like a who’s who in business and entertainment

Known for having a big heart and an even bigger appetite for helping people in need, Tinsley is an advocate for the rights of crime victims. He served as a board member for the Denver Victims’ Service Center for eight years. He was also a member of NOVA, the National Organization for Victims’ Assistance, and was recognized by COVA, the Colorado Organization for Victims’ Assistance, for his outstanding service to the victims’ advhttp://www.thedangerman.com/ocacy movement.

From the East Coast to the West Coast, from Watts to Harlem, the Urban Superhero with the Heart of Gold carries a message of hope for the future for children in urban America. Tinsley has a dream that one day violence and ignorance will cease to stalk our communities. A dream that the drug man and the gun man will one day be a thing of the past.
